Arizona’s pride, the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon, attracts more than five million tourists a year. This ancient marvel consists of limestone, sandstone, and shale brought about by geological processes including the erosion by the Colorado River. The early twentieth century saw the national reserve becoming a popular tourist destination. Different companies offer exciting bus, helicopter, Hummer, and airplane tours. For example, the Grand Canyon Tour Company offers terrific luxury coach tours, while some others use minivans at times. There are scenic tours to the Grand Canyon South Rim National Park. Las Vegas The Luxury City |

Though a bit heavy on the neon, Las Vegas is a true feast for the eyes. The skyline is amazing, with all of the sparkling lights and massive shapes competing for attention. Every hotel is striving to top the next one with its own unique theme, majestic entrances, rollicking casinos, delectable restaurants, and impressive entertainment. It can be said that Las Vegas does not have a boring bone in its body. The marketing angle of the Las Vegas tourism board has gone from its old nickname, " Sin City," to being touted as a family-friendly destination in the 1990's and back to Adults Only with its new tagline, "What happens here, stays here." Las Vegas is the most populous city in the state of Nevada. The city has a reputation for being one of the wildest places on the planet, and, for this reason, it is also known as “Sin City.” Las Vegas is a very popular tourist city because of its legalized gambling, availability of alcoholic beverages at any time, and so on. It was in the beginning of the nineteenth century (1905) that Las Vegas was established, and it formally became a city in 1911. In the early 1900s, the city became famous as a railroad town. During the twentieth century, Las Vegas evolved into one of the largest cities in the country. The expansion of the railroads and the building of the Hoover Dam infused new life... |

Las Vegas Packages
Author: Alison Cole
Las Vegas has everything to offer, from the glitzy world-class entertainment to the fine dining and shopping experiences; from the golf and tennis to the museums and art shows—Vegas has something for everyone. Vacationing in Vegas can be confusing and expensive. Package holidays provide a hassle-free and economical holiday experience, where one does not need to bother with details such as airlines and room rates. There are hundreds of packages to choose from, offered by different companies and varying depending upon the number of days and the budget. Some packages include just lodging; others include meals, some gaming, and sightseeing. It all depends upon individual preferences. For example, a two-day and three-night getaway package may start from $99 per person for a modest hotel such as the Casino Royale; it may include some complimentary casino gaming tickets, free buffet, and two sightseeing tours. The room will offer a king- or queen-sized bed, in-house complimentary coffeemaker, and a safe. Airfare and lodging during low season might be available for under $150.On the other hand, grand opulence and sheer luxury may be enjoyed at the high-end hotels such as the Bellagio Las Vegas for about $200 a night. A luxury delight, with its front fountain courtyards, mind-blowing spas, and award winning restaurants, The Bellagio is just one among the many luxury resorts for the upper-end traveler. Most tourists with families prefer all-inclusive packages, which means that they have their entire tour planned out for them. Their package includes the airfare, hotel stay, all meals, and sightseeing. This basically enables the adults to enjoy the wonders of the casinos while the kids have their itineraries planned out for them. There are many websites that offer package-tour reservations along with valuable information for any traveler. Destination Las Vegas |
|
As a long-time resident of Las Vegas, I'm never amazed when people ask me whether or not there are actual homes here. For many, Las Vegas is nothing but casinos. The Las Vegas Strip spans just a couple miles of the city, but many who have never been here think that's all there is. There are entertainment and sights off the strip, but today I will run down some basic Las Vegas information. The main tourist area is divided into two parts. The first part is called "Downtown Las Vegas" and it was where the glitter used to be. I still remember when you could drive your vehicle through where the Fremont Street Experience is today. It was a sight to behold. In downtown Las Vegas, you'll find classic casinos such as the Plaza, the Golden Nugget, Binions Horseshoe, the Fremont, and others. For gambling, I like Binions. It's still a place that feels like a gambler's casino. The other section, which is more commonly known, is the Las Vegas Strip. Corporate entertainment at its finest—as I like to say. You could say that this is the themed part of Las Vegas. On the Las Vegas Strip there's Caesars Palace, MGM Grand, New York New York, Excalibur, Venetian, Bellagio and a slew of other themed casinos. As of this writing, the famous Stardust has just closed down and will be imploded in 2007. Today, Vegas' motto is out with the old and in with the new. There's only so much space to build upon and Las Vegas is beginning to go vertical—lots of high-rise condos being built. If you are looking for a friendlier atmosphere, lower table limits and don't mind a lack of top shows, downtown Las Vegas will be a place you might like. There's entertainment there, but you won't find the top shows like Blue Man Group. The Las Vegas Strip has casinos that are the top of the line, but it has... |
